Choosing between Illustrator and photoshop

Illustrator:

Adobe Illustrator was first developed in 1985 for the Apple Macintosh. It is a vector-based graphic editor. Adobe illustrator’s interface and user experience are nearly similar to its sibling's software of Adobe (mainly Photoshop). This application contains and modifies vector-based artwork including graphics, logos, and other design elements. Vectors are scalable artifacts that can be resized to whatever size you need while maintaining the same level of clarity and resolution.  Illustrator is considered more versatile than its competitor photoshop, as its offers anything from web designs and graphics to text documents that can be created. Another advantage of illustrator over photoshop is that as it is a vector-based editor, it can be used freely for scalable designs as it will not lose its details unlike in photoshop which is pixel-based and on scaling design will pixelate and lose all of the details of the design/image which is a big no in design factor. Although, there are pretty good competitors of illustrator present in the market now such as  CorelDRAW, sketch, in space, and others which are also making their name by providing powerful features similar to illustrator the impact illustrator has made on the market is unmatchable.

Use of Illustrator:

·      Since Illustrator is not resolution-dependent, it will produce better print results thus is recommended for brochures and flyers making.
